RADWIMPS - Tummy

What about songs like “Tummy”? Where did you draw inspiration from writing this song, as I’m sure you don’t have a child yet…?
(Note: “Tummy” is the 13th track from RADWIMPS’ latest album “Batsu to Maru to Tsumi to”. The lyrics are about Noda’s dialogues and thoughts with his child.)

Noda: Since turning 28, I’ve been thinking a lot about my future baby. That’s very interesting to me. Even though I have yet to see my future child, the lyrics were so realistic that people thought I do have an illegitimate child out there! (laughs) I don’t! When you’ve reached this age, you start to wonder how your child would be like next time. I kept thinking and thinking, and eventually ended up communicating with the baby in my head. Yeah, it was an interesting experience. It was so real when I was thinking.

It was a beautifully written song. I enjoyed it.
Noda: Thank you!
